Are there conditions where Spinal Decompression Therapy is not indicated?
|

Spinal
decompression therapy is not recommended for pregnant women, patients who
have severe osteoporosis, severe obesity or severe nerve damage.
Spinal surgery
with instrumentation (screws, metal plates or “cages”) is also
contraindicated. However, spinal decompression therapy after bone fusion
or non-fusion surgery, can be performed. |

How many sessions will be needed and what is the cost?
|
Dr. Hamer will evaluate your condition and review any past reports, x-rays or MRIs to determine the best treatment plan, in terms of length of session and number of sessions needed to help bring rellief.
Insurance coverage varies and our staff will be happy to help you determine what coverage might be available through your insurance policy. If not covered
by insurance, we will be happy to set up an in-house payment plan. Our goal is to design a treatment plan that will bring you relief and work with you on the payment side.

Do most patients receive therapy and rehabilitative exercises in addition to Spinal Decompression Therapy?
